Zidane frowned as he finished cleaning his place. He hadn't realized just how much he had accumulated over the few weeks he'd been in Forks. Having worked most nights and ordered Chinese or pizza he'd been neglecting clean up duties. He sighed as he finished taking the trash out and started to spray fabreeze around. "I need to get a maid or something." he said softly to himself as he looked around. "Grabbed a couple bottles of wine.... Check." he said as he glanced at the small table in his living room. "Food... Well if we are here longer then I expect then I can always order food." he said to himself as he frowned again.
"I think that's everything." he said a few minutes later coming back into the living room. Having let the spray settle so he wouldn't be sneezing his eyes out while Nola was there. Zidane nodded as he looked over everything and then headed outside. He had a little bit and could get some work done on his bike while he waited.

Un-manicured fingers tapped rhythmically yet frantically along the hard wood table as the anxiety riddled woman stared at the texts on her phone. 'Loose lips sink ships.' She repeated in her head. But her pack was already so sunken and split from the land they had for generations, she had already failed. How much worse off could things really be? Nola stood up abruptly, thoughts and fears of what exactly she was getting herself into whirling in her head. Grabbing a thin red zip-up sweater belonging to her twin and a denim jacket that once belonged to her human mother, she left the house she shared with Leon before she could change her mind and crawl back into bed and hid under the blanket. Sam read and re-read the address that the bartender she had met the week prior had sent. Her thirty year old scuffed doc's skid against the pavement as she briskly walked while she cursed the slow pace that her human form was restricted to - but she couldn't take any chances. She practiced what she would twist and say in her head as she practiced breathing exercises out loud. Deep breaths in and deep breaths out. Best case scenario, she convinced herself, was that she would gain an ally. The more people to hate the Volturi the better - and better she get to him first than them. After all, there was something about Zidane that she couldn't quite place. With one last deep inhale and shaky exhale, Nola found herself at her destination. She straightened her shoulders, shutting her eyes and calming herself to stand tall like a true alpha before she knocked. "Forks police, open up." Deepening her voice into almost a joke hoarseness, she stifled a laugh.

Working on the bike had taken a while and having stripped the engine out he'd already forgotten about having company over. Even with the wine in the living room to remind him. He hadn't ventured back into the house at all. His hands were covered in oil and he cursed slightly as even working delicately he'd bent one of the mounting bolts pulling the Harley's engine out. "I'm gonna have to fix that before I can put the engine back in." he muttered to himself as he sighed.
Zidane looked up at the sound of someone knocking on his door. He'd forgotten to open the garage to let people see him in there. And he chuckled at the muffled joke. "Hang on!" he shouted before he stood up from working on his bike. "Let me just open the door." he added as he picked up a oil stained rag and started to wipe his hands off while moving to the garage door. Kneeling down he gripped the handle and pulled it up. The heat from the garage quickly leaving as the cooler air of the outside world flooded in. "That's bracing." He said simply before he stepped out and turned to the front. "You know... You're too cute to be the Forks Police" he said with a grin. "If your willing to step into my garage I'll finish up what I'm doing before showing you the rest of the place." Zidane said with a smile.

It was only a few moments before the woman heard some clanking and cursing. Curiosity lifted her to her tip toes, trying to peer into any window she could with an eyebrow raised. As Nola finally heard a muffled voice and the sudden jolt of a metal garage door opening, she couldn’t help but counter with a muffled and cracked yelp as she ‘casually’ jumped back from the front door. The next words he spoke took her equally off guard. Nola cleared her throat and crossed her arms, making sure to brush the stray hairs from her face so he could see the unamused mask hiding a threatening smile. It showed through by causing the left corner of her mouth to twitch. ”I’m not cute...” She huffed, ”I’m an a-” Cutting herself off before she could finish, realizing claiming alpha like some kind of annoying college senior in a fraternity is, as the kids say, ' douchey'. ”An asshole.” She replied, walking up to him before stepping inside. Though seventy years old, time did not grant her any height. The woman locked her narrowed eyes with him before once again moving to the tip of her toes and swaying slightly to the side to look past him into the garage. ”You’re not going to like, hack me into pieces in your garage are you?” She asked seriously before her poker face turned into a slight frown. ”Because I’m tougher than the police.” The woman winked before pushing past him and into the garage. Her eyes shut for just a moment as she took in the nostalgic scents to her, including motor oil and freshly cut wood. When they opened they flickered to the motorcycle parts on the ground, presuming they were the cause of the clanking around she heard just a few minutes ago. Nola could vaguely remember her fathers grease stained hands and forearms at breakfast when the twins were younger, waking up with the sun to get a few hours of working on his own bike in before the day started. Unlike Leon, she never rode it. ”So what’s all this then?”

Zidane laughed as she stammered a reply. "Well, I think everyone is an asshole in one form or another. Tends to make things more even." Zidane said as he looked back into the garage. "Besides, If you think about it. You are cuter then the Forks PD." he said thinking about the one cop he'd seen since coming here. "I don't think they have a PT requirement here." he added with a chuckle. "Anyways, welcome to my home. You've seen the outside. And technically now the garage. I will show you the rest of it once I'm done."
He shook his head at her question. "No, I don't think that having someone dead in my garage is gonna endear me to the neighbors. They might frown on it considering they already don't like that I ride my hog almost everywhere. At almost anytime of day...." he said trailing off with a grin. She pushed her way past he and he chuckled. "As you can see. I'm cleaning the engine." he said with a chuckle. "Getting that last bolt off without stripping it was the problem." Zidane said as he looked at her.
"This is an annoyance." he said. "I don't trust mechanics to work on my Harley. I've done that before and had more problems after they fixed it." Zidane said as he moved back over to the bike. "Getting things to work correctly on it has become something of a passion. It's a classic Harley and doesn't have any of those fancy computer bits that I've seen on all the newer models." Zidane moved his hands over the bikes manifold. "And it actually gets better mileage then those things do." he added.

The woman turned her attention back from the bike once again to the man in the doorway. ”I wouldn’t know, police didn’t need to come to the reservation too much. Everyone settled things and kept to themselves. She paused, a smile creeping its way to visibility. "No one would even know if there was a body in the garage.” With that, her poker face dropped and a crooked smile spread across her lips. ”But, everyone was also used to the bike riding at odd hours so it wasn’t a nuisance… it was pretty common around, especially with the boys of the tribe… including my brother and his friends.” After decades of them around, it was almost like white noise to her at this point. And so were compliments – it all just got drowned out. Nola cocked her brow to match her half-cocked smile. ”Ah, I see. Nothing I like more before having company over is getting nice and dirty, too.” She teased but she in truth wasn’t lying, instead of mechanic work she chose running on all fours though muddy depths of the surrounding wilderness and showering by jumping into the ocean and shaking off before shifting again. ”You seem to fit right into our little coast hub over here.” Sam looked at his handy work in the garage once again, stepping back to give him some space to work. She leaned against a workbench opposite the garage door so she could see the room before her, bike and owner included. Memories flickered into the present reality before her, watching from the yard as her father taught her brother all of the classic motorcycle parts at a young age while shed have to help her mother hang clothes on the line. ”You’d like Leon – he’d at least be able to talk to you about what you’re doing without asking a question every other breath.” Her arms unfolded as she moved to rest her elbows on the counter behind her as she kicked up one ankle to cross the other. ”I have no experience with classic nor ‘computerized’ bikes. Honestly, I don’t even fix my own truck.” She shrugged once again. ”Thankfully I have a twin and a built in mechanic.”

Zidane looked over at her. "Sounds like it used to be a lovely place." he said with a chuckle. "I would of loved to live there instead of here in Forks." He added as he frowned. "I went out there you know. After our last chat. Hadn't had a chance to see the Rez. And I saw that castle that was built. Who the hell Builds a castle in the America's? Pyramids yes. But castles are more European or Asian." he said as he sighed. "It also felt extremely empty. Almost like all the life had left it."
"I thought I would of been done before you got here to be honest." He said as he chuckled. Holding up his hands he looked at them. "That and I wouldn't of bent the mounting bolt pulling it out." He admitted. "It's better then Living in Binghamton New York." He said. "Less crowds and not nearly as many people who want to kill you for the money in your pockets." Zidane sighed as he thought about home. He'd left the pack that he'd inherited behind. They would more then likely follow him here eventually but until then. He was free of them. "I didn't peg you for a twin." he said honestly. "Let me get some of this off my hands and I'll show you the house." He added as he moved over to the work bench and pulled a jar of Orange down. Dishing a dollop out he cleaned his hands with it before screwing the lid back on. "You ready for the tour?" he asked her.

Engine parts, mounting bolts.. it was a language of a world Nola was not well versed or experienced in, but what the shifter did know was the supernatural. Even hidden behind the fumes in the garage she could still pick up what she smelled in the bar the day she met him. ”I don’t mind. You haven’t bored me yet so I’m ready to see the non-greasy parts of your house.” She joked, smiling as he washed up. Curiosity motivated her as she followed her tour guide in through the rest of the house. ”So, you grew up in New York?” Big cities, yet another thing she had no experience in. ”Oh?” She questioned at his surprised response when she mentioned her twin brother. ”I was born first, if that says anything.” She said, stepping into the threshold. ”Honestly, we don’t even look alike. He’s a foot taller at that.” Sam meant to laugh, but it came out as more of an amused grunt. ”Our home was lovely… but it’s tainted now, as you’ve apparently seen.” She grimaced thinking about who inhabited her homeland now, but her interest was piqued as Zidane casually slipped in that he ventured out to LaPush. The grimace faded, replaced with a look of both concern and wonder. ”You hit the mark there, the family is from Europe. They’re basically medieval, emphasis on the evil.” She attempted to sound more lighthearted and less monotone than she did, but it was hard when talking about those behind the uprooting of dozens of lives. ”That explains the lack of pyramids anyway, though I don’t think that would be much better. Did you happen to see anyone else there when you saw the monstrous new addition?”

Zidane nodded "To be honest. I didn't grow up in New York City. Just the state of New York. Binghamton is considered Northern New York." He admitted. "Living in Binghamton was almost like living in Forks. Except for the almost constant amount of people that lived there." Moving as delicately as he could. He made his way over to the door to the house. "Come on in." he said as he finished drying off his hands on a shop towel and tossed it into a small bucket next to the door. Opening the door for her he chuckled. "Forgive any messes you find. I'm remodeling as I go." he said as he let her into the house.
"Well, Depending on what you and your brother do, The few minutes in between your births will determine what you do." He said as they walked. He led her up the stairs "And yeah. That castle is definitely an eye sore. And as for the people out there. I'm not exactly sure why they are there. And I'm still in a little bit of shock." he said simply. "Of course. The game is rather plentiful out there. Do you mind if I go hunting out there?" he asked her with a chuckle. "I'd rather ask someone who didn't just take it over." he added as he thought about it. "And no, I haven't really seen anything or anyone out there yet. Apart from a couple of people who decided to "Disappear" quickly enough." He said with his hands moving up to do air quotes.

Samantha listened as the much taller figure guided her through this home. "Sounds... lovely? Maybe one day I'll see the other coast, but I'm quite comfortable here. Wanderlust is not one of my vices, or virtues I suppose. She mumbled, unsure if whether upstate New York actually sounded lovely or not. She didn't do great with crowds, it emotionally exhausted her as the empath in her was always in over-drive as it was. But her brother was her best friend, and he grounded her more than anyone ever has so far, especially when the time came that they did have to leave the reservation. Even then, however, the move to Forks wasn't all too drastic - less beaches, more Christianity. "The 'rez was the only home I've ever known... I guess he's the only consistency I have. We work together now, em, dog training. You could say we have alpha personalities." With more shifters turning than ever before, the duo alpha pack was necessary. Not to mention it was both of their birthrights. "So no need to apologize for the mess, I mean we always have strays in and out of our place like we run a hostel." She cared for animals, whether they walked on two or four legs. Nola let out another amused grunt as she thought about what her birthplace had turned into. She had sat in the very spot the castle now crushed, the ocean on one side of her and wild animals behind an armor of forestry on the other. A sigh escaped her as she scratched her head in thought. "None of us go over there anymore, so if we're not going to hunt on our own land then I don't see why someone brave enough to shouldn't." She looked up and smiled. "You have my blessing. But, you have to come tell my brother about everything you see over there. He'll enjoy hearing about your hunts I'm sure. Our father took us quite a few times." It wasn't her favorite activity, but it was a tradition, and she had to admit your meals tasted better when they lived a happy life. Fresh. "I enjoyed the wind down. Wine-down, if you would. Emphasis on the wine."

Zidane shook his head. "I wouldn't recommend it unless you're ready to be insulted on a daily basis. It wouldn't be personally directed. Just stereotyped and redundant insults." He said as he smiled at her. "Why on earth did you and your tribe ever give up the land then?" he asked her curiously. "Because it sounds like you weren't having any say in it which doesn't make sense to me since the US gifted the Reservations to the Native Americans." He said as he thought about the history of the country they resided in. "Alpha Personalities huh?" he asked. "That might explain why I get along with you. Most are too passive for my tastes." He said with a chuckle as he looked at her. "So you are a dog trainer." Zidane said with a smile before leading her into the living room.
Motioning for her to sit down he took a seat in one of the recliners. "I guess that if you don't go there anymore, I can at least bring out news apart from the stories of my hunts." he said as he looked at her. Chuckling as she mentioned the wine. "Well, I snagged a bottle or two from work since they are only gathering dust." He said as he poured both of them a glass. "So, Tell me of these Myths and Legends you mentioned a couple weeks ago. Are they horror stories or learning stories?" he asked with a smile.
