Alexis never expected the weather to take such a turn. You see, in the past, Alexis would park close to the garage where Enrique worked, pop the hood, and then yank something that looks mildly important and toss it aside before jogging to the garage to ask for some much-needed help, acting all innocent as if he hadn't been the one to cause the vehicle to breakdown.
But hey, it at least gave him the chance to talk to Enrique a little bit even though the man still had his guard up. Alex was a... persistent guy, so he was going to find a way to talk to him, to convince him that the pack were filled with good people who truly care about each other and they would be in good hands, just like how Alexis and Cameron were in good hands.
But, he knew that the man wasn't going to be an easy person to convince and he also knew that it was important for him to take it slow and easy. Sure, the whole thing was costly and made him miss out on the first couple of minutes of his class but he knew that it would be worth it in the long run.
But, tonight was just karma, apparently. His truck had finally decided to break on its own and leave him in the downpour with nowhere to go. He had plans to pass by the garage to check on Enrique and the others to ensure that everyone was faring well with the weather, but he didn't even reach the garage to go out and ask them for help. He was, however, close to where Enrique lived.
Okay, the fact that he knows where the man lives makes him sound really creepy but he never, ever, planned to invade the man's privacy in his home. He knows about it for emergency cases only. Otherwise, he knew that his plan was solely to just linger by the garage and spend time with the man there instead. Did this classify as an emergency? Well, for Alex maybe it was. But for Enrique? Not in the slightest. So, he stayed right there in his truck, listening to the rain as it poured even harder. He reached for his phone next to call his brother only to come to the realization that his phone ran out of charge. "Shit." Alex whispered with a soft sigh falling from his lips. He looked around him for anyone who could possibly help him but he can imagine that everyone was at home already, enjoying a cup of something warm to battle the coldness of the weather. While he... was stranded out here. "Great." Alex breathed out, trying to weigh down his options.
But in the end, staying right here was the safest option for him right now. So, he stayed. Although, he could've sworn there was the sound of approaching footsteps but he chalked it up to the wind doing... windy things and stayed right where he was, tapping anxiously on the steering wheel and waiting. Waiting for what? He wasn't entirely too sure. Maybe he was just waiting for the storm to pass and god, he hoped that it'd pass a lot quicker than that or else he's going to be out here for a while and he's already starting to feel cold.

Enrique was still new to town but Forks wasn’t that big so it wasn’t taking him very long to figure out how things worked. From what he could gather some of the people living in the town had been forced from their homes on the reservation and they still seemed pretty upset about it. He really couldn’t blame them for that but the good thing was that it meant that he and his siblings wouldn’t draw quite so much attention to themselves given that they were new in town. Enrique was raised to be a hunter so he knew to look for threats everywhere and there definitely seemed to be plenty of people in town who were supernatural. A pack of Children of the Moon had reached out pretty quickly after he and his brothers moved to town and Alexis seemed to be pretty persistent. Enrique was pretty sure the guy was sabotaging his own truck as an excuse to hang out around the garage and get him to join the pack and to begin with it had been really annoying but the truth was that there was a part of Enrique that enjoyed having someone outside of his family to talk to. Things were still awkward with his brothers, Daniel was still missing and that was taking a toll on Gabe and Enrique wanted to make it better but he had no idea how. Having Alexis around was a welcome distraction, not that Enrique would tell him that, and for some reason seeing the guy was enough to make his heart leap but he wasn’t sure he was ready to process what that meant right now so he tried not to think about it too much. That day the garage had shut early and they had all been sent home because of the storm that was coming in. It was meant to be really bad and his boss wasn’t taking any chances which was absolutely fine with Enrique since he had no desire to end up stranded at the garage and have to wait the storm out there. Once it started it was meant to be dangerous to drive in so he had called his brothers before he left the garage to make sure that they were all on their way home as well. It had only been a year since he had found out that he even had brothers but now he knew, Enrique didn’t want anything bad to happen to them. He still felt incredibly guilty that he was the reason their pack had been wiped out and Daniel was missing in the first place so he knew that he really didn’t need anything else to add to it. Glancing out the window, Enrique was surprised to see a truck stopped down the street with the driver still sat inside. If it was someone who lived along the street then he was sure that they would have made a break for it but the guy behind the wheel seemed to be staying put. He couldn’t quite make out the guy’s face through the rain even with his enhanced vision but as he really looked at the truck for the first time he realised that he recognised it and he should given he had worked on it often enough. It belonged to Alexis but if he was stopped here then chances were that there really was something wrong this time. Knowing that he couldn’t leave the guy sitting out there waiting for the storm to pass, Enrique grabbed a jacket and headed outside, holding his hood in place to stop it from blowing backwards. Breaking into a jog, he only came to a stop when he reached the driver’s side and he knocked on the window to get Alexis’s attention, waiting for him to wind the window down before speaking. “Let me guess, car trouble?” he asked, a hint of teasing to his voice as he spoke given the irony of it all and a grin on his lips. “Help me get the truck into the garage and I’ll take a look. Got to keep up appearances in case any of the neighbours are watching.”ALEXIS HAYDEN MASTRANO

Alexis never expected his car to betray him like this. But then again, he had put it through, hadn't he? Maybe it was taking revenge for all the tinkering and him treating it like a means to get close to Ricky. "Okay, I'm sorry, alright? I won't do it again. C'mon, please, take me home and that's it." He tried to turn on the ignition but the truck wasn't budging as if it had made up its mind already that nothing was going to get it started up again until a mechanic looked at it the following day or when the weather cleared, that is.
Alexis caught on the sound of approaching footsteps and before he knew it, there was a knocking sound on the window and that was almost enough to make him flinch before he looked over to see it was none other than Ricky. "Oh god." He whispered under his breath before he reached to wind the window down, offering a sheepish smile and his best innocent look. "Hi, Enrique! Fancy seeing you here! Um... You live around here or something?"
He felt his cheeks go a little warm at the other's question before scratching the back of his neck sheepishly. "It wasn't my doing this time." Oh god. Oh, god, why did he just admit that out loud? "Not that the other times were my doing. It's just an old truck, y'know? Super, super old." He emphasized on the 'super' to really deliver a point.
"God, thank you. You're a lifesaver." He quickly got out but before doing that, he adjusted the hood of his jacket over his head to protect himself from the onslaught of the rain and quickly moved to the other side so he could move the truck to the garage and with the brake loose, it was easy to steer it in that direction. He knew that either one could've done it without assistance, but they were in public and they needed to keep up the whole act of being human. Alex couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief once he was under the cover of the garage, shivering slightly at the lingering cold. He still favored the cold to a humid weather, though. "Hey, um, quick question... Do you have a charger that I could borrow? I'd try to find a lift back home, but my phone's kinda dead."

As soon as he realised it was Alexis sat out in the truck Enrique knew that he could have left the guy there to wait out the storm but he couldn’t bring himself to do so. Alexis didn’t seem like a bad guy, he was just persistent and Enrique couldn’t hold that against him when it meant that it gave him an excuse to keep seeing the guy. He didn’t really know many people in town yet and Enrique had spent such a long time hiding what he was from everyone around him aside from his family that it really was refreshing to have someone around that he didn’t have to worry about that with. Enrique rolled his eyes as Alexis asked if he lived around there or something. “You mean to tell me you didn’t already know that?” he asked, raising an eyebrow in challenge as he looked over at Alexis. The guy often showed up where he worked and Enrique knew that he really wouldn’t put it past Alexis to have found out where he lived as well. There was a part of him that wondered whether his showing up here was deliberate but as he said that it wasn’t his doing this time before trying to cover up what he’d said, Enrique couldn’t help but laugh. “I knew it,” he chuckled. “I knew you were sabotaging your truck but I couldn’t prove it. There are much easier ways to get my attention, you know,” he teased, unable to stop himself. He knew that Alexis was only hanging around still because he really wanted him to join the pack but there were much easier ways to go about it. “Call me crazy but I couldn’t leave you out here,” Enrique shrugged as Alexis thanked him. He knew that it was unlikely that anything bad would happen to the guy but it was cold out and the truth was that Enrique really didn’t want him to freeze. He could have easily pushed the truck down the street, onto his driveway and into the garage on his own but he needed to seem human to his neighbours in case any of them looked out their windows at the wrong moment so he was glad when Alexis seemed to understand that. Together they got the truck into the garage with ease and Enrique nodded as Alexis asked if he had a charger he could borrow. “There’s one in the house you can use. Let’s get you warmed up and then I’ll take a look at the truck,” he said, not sure just how long Alexis had been sat outside for before he spotted him. “Come on through,” he said, leading the way into the house and showing Alexis where the charger was in the kitchen. “Can I get you a drink or something to eat?”ALEXIS HAYDEN MASTRANO

Alexis shook his head, really trying his best to sell the act of being innocent in all of this. "Nope. No idea at all. Forks really is a small town, huh?" Alex grinned at Enrique, still trying to keep up the act despite the fact that Alexis was a not so decent liar and sometimes, his expression gave it away. Sometimes.
Oh, he has a nice laugh. Was what Alex thought as he listened to Enrique. "Okay, hey now, you can't blame a guy for trying. Does this mean I can stop bullying my car and just come to see you without needing a reason?" Alex asked with obvious hopefulness in the tone of his voice as he spoke.
As they steered his truck into the garage, Alex's lips stretched into a thankful smile at Enrique's next words. "Thank you." He couldn't deny that it was a bit cold and after spending some time in the truck with the rain pouring down on his truck, the cold weather really did get to him, so he knew that being inside of a home away from the pouring rain and the cold air would really help out. He followed after Enrique, making sure to take off his shoes so he wouldn't get mud all over the place, followed by his jacket so he wouldn't get droplets of water everywhere and headed to the charger, plugging his phone in and letting it rest on the counter so it could charge faster. "I could do with a cup of tea, if it's not too much trouble." Alex replied, his eyes relaxing on Enrique once more. "Can I help with anything?"

Enrique rolled his eyes in amusement as Alexis said he had no idea that he lived along that street. “Sure you didn’t,” he said, not believing that for a minute. “You’re a really bad liar, you know that?” he teased. Truth be told it was refreshing, Enrique had been surrounded by lies for such a long time, a lot of them ones he’d had to tell others to keep what he was a secret from them, so being around someone who didn’t seem very good at lying really was refreshing. “It’s small but not that small,” he grinned. Alexis didn’t seem to have had any trouble finding out where he worked so Enrique knew that it wasn’t a stretch to think that the guy knew where he lived too. Honestly he wasn’t sure whether to be flattered or a little worried that Alexis was going to such lengths for him but right now he was one of the few people in town Enrique knew so he chose to think of it as a good thing. As Alexis asked if what he’d said meant that he could come and see him without needing a reason to do so, Enrique pretended to think about it for a moment before answering. “I think it’ll be safer for your truck if you stop using it to get my attention. If you want to stop by, you can,” he said at last, knowing that he certainly wasn’t going to turn Alexis away if he did. Enrique had known that there was no way he could let Alexis freeze out there in his truck so there was no way that he would have taken no for an answer when it came to him waiting inside the house. He knew that Alexis was a Child of the Moon so it would take a lot to hurt him but Enrique found himself not wanting to take any chances. Alexis had been an annoyance at first but now Enrique was finding that he was actually starting to enjoy spending time with the guy so he knew that he didn’t want anything to happen to him. “It’s no trouble at all,” Enrique assured him before putting the kettle on. “No, it’s okay. You can go ahead and take a seat,” he offered, knowing it would only take a few minutes to get it sorted anyway. “Why don’t you tell me what happened with your truck while we wait?” he suggested, knowing it would be good to get a bit of an idea before he was able to take a look at it. "Well, I'm trying, so that has to count for something, right?" Alex teased with a grin tugging at the corner of his lips. As much as he wanted to brag and say that he had managed to fool everyone about what was going on with Jean, it wasn't exactly something to receive praises for. "Yeah... It's really not." Alex agreed with Enrique when he told him that Forks really wasn't that small. "Deal. Because I think my truck was going to start haunting my dreams if I didn't stop. I'm pretty sure this is karma, too." Alex sighed, patting the steering wheel of his truck as if he was trying to soothe it.
Alex smiled and nodded his head before he took a seat. He took a quick look around the place before his eyes relaxed on Enrique again as he asked him a question. "Oh, well, uh..." Alex released a soft hum. "I was driving, right?" He pretended to hold the steering wheel to really reenact the whole thing. "Then, it kind of sputtered a bit? It slowed down a lot, then the engine made these weird noises and then it just... stopped. Whenever I tried to get it started again, it wouldn't even make any noise." Alex confirmed, lowering his hands shortly after before he released a quiet gasp. "Do you think I just killed my truck? Is it dead for good?"

"You're trying to lie?" Enrique teased with a laugh, unable to resist himself as he looked over at Alexis. "You'll do much better if you're honest with me," he added. He'd had to live with enough lies and deception to last a lifetime and he knew that he didn't want to have to go through that again if he could help it. He was already having to keep it to himself that he was trying to track down Daniel for his brother and Enrique knew that his parents were still out there somewhere as well so he always felt like sticking around was putting his family in danger but at the same time he knew that if he didn't stay then his parents would only use them against him so things were messy enough right now. A smile touched Enrique's lips as Alexis agreed with him. Forks was a small town, that much was true, but it had been so easy for Alexis to find out where he worked and it probably would have been just as easy for him to find out where he lived too. "I think you're probably right, all the sabotage is coming back to haunt you." He hoped that he would be able to fix whatever it was that was wrong with the truck but only time would tell. Once he'd put the kettle on, Enrique grabbed two mugs from the cupboard and put a tea bag in each. "Cream and sugar?" he asked, not sure how Alexis liked his tea. Glancing over at Alexis as he began to explain what had happened, Enrique couldn't help but laugh when he decided to act it out. Before he could say anything, Alexis was asking if he thought his truck was dead and Enrique shook his head. "Not if there's anything I can do about it," he assured him, knowing that he would do everything he could in order to fix it. "It sounds like there's a few things that could have caused it, I'll know more when I take a look." He had a feeling he might need a couple of parts to fix it but that would mean having to wait until he could get back to work since he didn't think he had them here. Hearing the storm getting worse outside, Enrique's expression softened for a moment. "It sounds like it's getting really bad out there. It's probably not safe to drive so you're welcome to wait the storm out here rather than ask someone to come and get you. If I can't fix your truck today I can always give you a ride home later," he offered, knowing that he didn't want anyone getting hurt. ALEXIS HAYDEN MASTRANO

"Yeah... I guess I am." Alex trailed off as if he hadn't really thought that sentence through before letting it escape from between his lips. "White lies are harmless, though, aren't they?" Alex offered with an innocent smile tugging at the corner of his lips as he looked over at Ricky. Though his expression changed into momentary horror at Enrique's next words because he had a feeling that he was right about that. It was all coming back to haunt him now and his truck was going to continuously give up on him when he needed it the most as some sort of sick payback.
"Yeah, that sounds good." He replied with a small smile resting on his lips before he went on to explain what had happened to his truck. "My hero." Alex responded with a grin resting on his lips. He trusted Enrique with his truck. The man was easily one of the best mechanics in Forks, so he was really lucky to have him here. "Okay, sounds good." Alex nodded his head a few times, knowing that he's going to have to look for another means of transportation until his truck got back on the right track and started working again.
Alex's eyes widened slightly when he heard the telltale signs of the weather getting more and more violent outside which painted a clear image that he really wasn't going to be able to get anyone to come and pick him up. "Oh, are you sure?" Alex's eyes travelled back to Enrique as he heard his offer. "I don't want to be an inconvenience. I could sleep in my truck, or something. It's okay, really." Alex offered, not wanting Enrique to feel like he has to let him stay here.

Enrique hadn't been able to resist teasing Alexis about what he'd said and it seemed like it finally dawned on him but Enrique knew that he didn't want to make things awkward between them. He wasn't very good at keeping things light but he knew that he had to try so he let a smile form on his face as he looked over at Alexis instead. "Not for your truck, apparently," he said, feigning an innocent expression as he looked over at the guy. Normally white lies were pretty harmless, Enrique could only hope that in all the messing around Alexis had done with the truck's engine he hadn't done something serious to it. Even though the sabotage had been intentional before now he still got the impression that the truck meant a lot to Alexis and Enrique knew that he would do everything he could in order to get it running again. "Alright," Enrique nodded as Alexis said that cream and sugar sounded good. Once the kettle had finished brewing he poured some water into both of the mugs before setting one of the mugs down in front of Alexis along with the cream, sugar and a spoon so he could sort the rest of it to how he liked it. Gabriel was the barista out of the two of them, not Enrique, and he knew that the last thing he wanted to do was to mess it up and have Alexis drink something he hated just because he felt like he had to do it to be polite. The words my hero coming from Alexis were enough to make Enrique's heart flutter in a way he had never felt before and his cheeks flushed red slightly. He had no idea what Alexis was doing to him right now but Enrique knew that he needed to stop it. This wasn't him, he didn't let people get close to him and he certainly didn't have feelings like those towards anyone, let alone another man. He needed to remember that Alexis was only interested in getting him to join the pack and not for any other reason. He might not like letting people get close to him but he knew that he still couldn't let Alexis go taking any risks now that the weather was getting worse and he shook his head as Alexis said he didn't want to be an inconvenience. "You wouldn't be an inconvenience and there's no way I'd let you sleep in your truck. There's a spare room you can use and you can borrow some clothes if you like," he offered. "I wouldn't have suggested it if I didn't mean it."ALEXIS HAYDEN MASTRANO

Alex laughed at Enrique's comment before nodding his head in agreement because he was definitely not wrong about that. "Yeah, y'know what? Fair point. I'll stop lying, I promise." Especially now that he has the green light to stop by without needing to torture his truck beforehand.
"Thank you." Alex said once Enrique came back with two mugs. He scooted closer to his mug to put in a spoon of sugar and half a spoon of the creamer before stirring his mug until it all mixed together and he lifted the mug to take a much-needed sip, offering him the warmth he needed. "Mm, this is really good." Alex embraced the mug between his palms to offer them the warmth that he craved ever since the wind really started picking up.
The offer to stay came to him as a surprise, but it was a pleasant one, at least. The De La Cruz family was full of guarded people who seemed like they had been hurt enough times to know better than to let anyone get too close to them. So, he didn’t want to cause Enrique any inconvenience by having the other share his living space with him until the storm calmed down but it seemed like Enrique had made up his mind and chivalry wasn’t going to evaporate any time soon. It was, of course, appreciated by Alex and it showed in the way his lips stretched into a genuine smile before he nodded his head. “Okay, I’ll stay. Thank you.” Alex accepted the generous offer shortly after.
“I’ll be sure to repay you for this. The next storm, you can stay over at mine’s.” He joked light-heartedly before he lifted his drink to his lips to take a quick sip before lowering it back down, keeping the mug embraced between his hands. The electricity momentarily flickered which caused Alex to look up for a second but then it went back to normal which only had him letting out a sigh of relief. “It’s getting real rowdy out there, that’s for sure.” Alex commented, looking over his shoulder at the window where the rain was pouring down hard. He hoped that it’ll ease over soon, though. “I didn’t interrupt you from what you were doing, right? Like, you weren’t busy with something? I’ll be quiet as a mouse if you gotta get something done. I promise.”

Hearing Alexis laugh was enough to draw a genuine smile to Enrique's face. He couldn't explain it but there was something about the way the guy laughed that was enough to make his heart skip a beat. Honestly Enrique had no idea what was happening right now and he wasn't sure he was ready to find out either. He had never been good at letting people get close to him and it was bad enough that he was putting his brothers in danger let alone anyone else but he couldn't bring himself to tell Alexis that he needed to stay far away from him. Perhaps he was just being selfish but if Alexis wanted to continue seeing him then Enrique knew that he wasn't going to try and stop it. "You'd better," Enrique nodded as Alexis said that he would stop lying. "I don't like being lied to even if it is only a white lie."Enrique nodded as Alexis thanked him. "You're welcome," he said, making his tea how he liked it before leaning back against the counter and taking a sip. It was hot but fortunately being a Child of the Moon had its advantages sometimes, that was for sure. "I'm glad you like it," Enrique admitted. He knew that everyone had different drinks they liked and he had known that it might not be to Alexis's liking but he seemed happy and that was all that mattered. "I can put the heating on if you're still cold," he offered, knowing that he wanted Alexis to be comfortable. He really hadn't been planning on offering to let Alexis stay the night when he saw him sat out in his truck but the storm really was getting worse and Enrique knew that he didn't want Alexis to try getting home only to end up getting hurt. He knew Alexi had his brother he could call on if his ruck couldn't be fixed that day but it just wasn't worth the risk as far as Enrique was concerned. Too many people had already died because of him and he knew that he didn't want anyone else to get hurt when there was something that he could do about it. "That's good because if the storm doesn't let up I wasn't going to let you go out there again tonight anyway," Enrique said, unable to stop himself from smiling back at Alexis. He had grown up an only child so he was still learning how to be a brother but he was protective of the people he cared about and that extended to Alexis even if he wouldn't admit that yet. "I might have to take you up on that," Enrique grinned as he looked over at Alexis. "Seriously though, you don't need to repay me. It's no trouble," he assured him. It would give him peace of mind that Alexis wasn't going to go out there and get hurt or that something would happen to his brother when he came to pick him up anyway. To begin with Alexis was an annoyance but Enrique had actually come to enjoy having him around for some reason. As the electricity flickered, Enrique looked up and nodded as Alexis spoke. "You're right about that," he agreed. He couldn't remember the last time he had seen a storm like this one but he knew that it would pass eventually just like they always did. "No, you didn't interrupt me. We all got sent home from work early because of the storm, I hadn't been home long before I saw you," he admitted. "I'm not sure how long the power will hold out for, are you sure you don't want something to eat?" Enrique asked, knowing that it would be better to have something now while the power was still on if Alexis wanted something rather than try and sort something out later. ALEXIS HAYDEN MASTRANO

Alex nodded his head slowly at Enrique’s words before he made a gesture of zipping his lips shut meaning that he wasn’t going to spill anymore lies just to see Enrique. Oddly enough, each time he came over to get his car fixed, he didn’t bring up the pack. He just talked about whatever came to mind and even now, he wasn’t saying anything related to the pack. ”Oh, no, it’s okay. This will help just fine.” Alex assured him with a quick nod of his head, lifting his drink to show what he was talking about. ”I like the feeling of the cold anyway, so I’m not uncomfortable. Promise.”
Alex’s expression softened at Enrique’s next words. He did appreciate the fact that Enrique was looking out for him. It meant a lot to him. ”Not to sound like a broken record, but... Thank you.” It seemed like he wasn’t going to go anywhere tonight and honestly? He wasn’t complaining. Especially if it meant that he’ll be able to spend time with Enrique like this and also get to know him more. So, as much as of an inconvenience the weather was, he was kinda glad that he got stuck not too far from Enrique’s place.
Alex chuckled at his words before shaking his head. ”I want to, though. Maybe I could buy you a coffee some time, or something like that.” He offered with a gentle smile resting on his lips. He was quiet as he listened to Enrique before released a soft ‘ah’ as he continued listening, feeling relieved to hear that he hadn’t interrupted Enrique. ”Oh, well, um...” Alex thought about it for a moment before he looked over at Enrique. ”Have you eaten yet?” He asked with a slight tilt of his head. ”I’ll eat with you if not.” Alex added a short moment later with a quick nod of his head.

Enrique knew that the majority of the lies he'd lived with over the years were ones that he'd had to tell himself to stop those around him from figuring out what he was and to make sure that the hunters he was training didn't just go out there and start killing indiscriminately but the truth was that he'd had enough to last him a lifetime. Even now he was having to keep the fact that he was searching for Daniel from Gabriel because he knew that he didn't want to get his brother's hopes up in case he wasn't able to find him after all and it was weighing down on him pretty heavily. Enrique knew that he was the reason why his nephew was missing in the first place, his parents had targeted Gabriel's pack because of their connection to him and Enrique knew that he would never be able to forgive himself if something happened to Daniel or he stayed missing. He had to find him but Gabriel had already been through so much and Enrique knew that he didn't want to add more to his brother's plate if he could help it. It was a pretty big omission to have to carry around with him but that was why he hadn't wanted Alexis to keep lying to him and he was glad that the guy seemed happy to go along with that. "Alright, if you're sure," Enrique nodded as Alexis said that the tea was fine and he didn't need anything else. "There's beer in the fridge if you want one later," he offered, not sure whether that was something that Alexis would be interested in or not. "You're welcome," Enrique said sincerely as Alexis thanked him. He knew that it probably wasn't the best idea he'd ever had to let Alexis know that he wouldn't have let him leave if the storm didn't die down since it could have been taken the wrong way but it was the truth. Enrique wasn't really good at being around people and he knew that he definitely wasn't good at letting them know that he cared about them but the truth was that he did care about Alexis and the only way Enrique really knew how to show that was to be protective. "Make it something a bit stronger and you're on," Enrique said, knowing that he wasn't really that much of a coffee drinker. He would indulge in it sometimes but more often than not he preferred to go for a beer. It didn't have the same affect on him that it did on humans but he found that he always felt more relaxed and that really was something that he needed to do more often. As Alexis asked if he had eaten yet, Enrique shook his head. "No, I haven't," he admitted. "What do you like to eat?" he asked, knowing that he could try and whip something up for the two of them before the power went out completely once he knew that Alexis liked. ALEXIS HAYDEN MASTRANO

"I'll take you up on that offer once I'm done with this." He lifted his drink with a grin resting on his lips. He looked pleasantly surprised when it became clear that Enrique wasn't in the mood for coffee but for something stronger. "Oh, you're so on. Just let me know when you're free next and we can grab a few drinks together." Alex said with a nod of his head.
"In that case, I'll eat with you, then." Alex agreed, rising from his seat not long after so he could move closer, watching Enrique with a hint of curiosity in his eyes. "I'll eat anything." He shrugged his shoulders before his attention drifted to the fridge. "It just depends on what you have." Alex added a moment later before he lifted his drink to his lips to take a much needed sip before lowering it back down again. "I guess cooking an actual meal might push our luck, especially if the lights go out. So, um, something quick, maybe?" He suggested, his eyes still on Enrique. "You sure I can't help with anything?"
